Oh my! What an absolutely perfect day to kick off wood's camp. One grateful camp director here. Thank you Lord!
We had a full fun day with some reading, writing and spelling woven in.
We painted up to be camouflaged in the woods.
We raced off to the woods to find a letter.
We ran back to write a word that starts with the letter on the board. This is an activity that earns prizes on Wednesday.

The Bears of Blue River or The Faraway Tree in the tree fort, others practiced some movement activities.

We had some interesting snacks as well.
We could choose whatever we wanted to write about. I was pleasantly surprised at what diligent writers we have. I'll be posting some of their great work tomorrow. We also earn points for good writing.
I love watching the older ones help the younger ones.
We each received a poem for our pocket and hopefully, we will read it to you!
We had a hike through the woods and learned about multi-flora roses and poison ivy.
Hopefully the work all around is finished and you can go up to the school road, turn around, and let your kiddo off into the side yard.
