Since about half of our campers will be off to another camp or vacation next week, we spent a lot of time in the woods or the creek today. We did read a bit, and listen to our story. We needed to know if Balser was going to live through his last Bear experience and see what else the Enchanted Tree had in store. We did technical writing about the colors of Gobstoppers.

Frog on a Blog. This child has brought me a critter every camp day.

The Big Boys very much needed some extra time on their forts this morning. Because I am always doing poetry during woods time, this was the first fort work I'd seen. I was amazed.
Since they found this feather, the fort was renamed Hawk Fort.
Lots of forts, each one different than the rest. It was so very fun to hear how they assigned jobs, who managed what, etc.
This were "Illuminations." You will have to ask them, but they have it all figured out.
This is our local "Walking Stick" vendor, minding his shop.
Hmm, I did not know I had monkeys in these woods.
Still another fort and my most favorite tall fort builder.
And this I needed to see just because of the pretty colors.
Will Balser live?
Time for a little experimenting and reading.
Oh, back to the woods, work to be done.
I love see these bright busy minds at work.
Thankful again for sunshine and safety.
